Call forwarding is a feature that allows you to send all your important calls that come to your landline to another phone that you want to use for your needs. It is also known as unconditional call forwarding sometimes as it is merely easy and straightforward to activate on your cell phones.

If call forwarding is active then outgoing calls can be possible.

When the call forwarding is active you can still make your phone calls as the incoming calls can get transferred on the spot, but you cannot answer your phone calls on your original line when this feature is active. If you want to answer the calls on your original line then choose the selective call forwarding to dispatch the specific calls to another number. However, when the call is forwarded, you hear a short ring on your original phone and the number which receives the forwarded calls rings normally.

What is the turn-on call forwarding process?

To turn on the call forwarding, the process has simple five steps.
1)  Listen to dial tone and after press 7 & 2.
2)  After listening to the regular dial tone, then listen to the stutter dial tone.
3)  Dial up the number you want to forward the call.
4)  (Ones you call the person you have to tell him prior why are you doing so) phone is answered either by voicemail or person, hang up.
5)  Your call will now be forwarded to the dialed number.
If your line comes busy then just hang up the call and repeat the 1,2,3 step within a couple of months. This is an alternative way to forward the call. When you here a rapid busy tone then you know your call forwarding process is right.
